Duovalve not the A/C problem. 1997 E420
A/C blowing 58 F passenger side, 82 F drivers side, ambient 92. I followed the posts and did the pop rivet repair, (EXCELLENT), however still hot on drivers side, opened up the duovalve again and everything's OK.
The d/v top forward outlet seems to be the supply coolant line to the valve, as I dis-connected it, started the engine and got coolant flow toward the d/v. Put a shut off valve in the coolant line to the top forward facing oulet on the dv, ..........still hot drivers side. I know there are left and right heaters that bleed the coolant into them for climate control, are there two A/C evaporators, left and right? If there are two evaps, any ideas what the problem might be. I've ran the full A/C diagnostics with only 232, 234 and 235 codes, 417 and 418 did not register. Any suggestions will be appreciated. |
usually its just a low freon charge that causes that.
