Default Cruise control

Last post for the night... my cruise control on my 300E. I set it the other day, and the car started accelerating with no sign of stopping. I hit the brake to turn it off, and the cruise control has not worked since. What part of the cruise control system should I be looking at to fix? Regards.

i dont think you have a problem. Try getting the car to 80km/hr before engaging the cruise

Goodluck, thanks, but I have tried setting it at any number of speeds, including over 100 kmh.

Is your ASR light coming on? if so then that is the cause. Does your car hesitate while moving?. if so try checking your throttle actuator. if your works fine without any hesitation, then try checking the cruise control Amplifier or the reference resistor

Best of Luck

No hesitation, no ASR light. I'll check the last couple of items you mentioned. Thanks again.
