Default Cell phone mounts

I have the armrest that would normally have the stock cell phone in it. There is a black plastic cap that is covering up a phone jack (maybe even a cat 5 jack?) and I can see a wire that runs from the side of the armrest into the side of the driver's seat. Is there anything that I can do with this wiring? I am looking to do a hands-free kit and I would love to work with stock wiring if possible. Does anyone know what the wiring is for exactly?

All US spec MBs are pre-wired for phone. Whether or not it is easy to retrofit a phone kit in your E-class, depends on what MY it is...

So what specifically is the jack connected to? Is there a bluetooth kit that works with it?
