a/c problems (air is cold but not blowing freely)
94' E420 with a/c issues
The air that is coming out is cold, the blower moter is functioning but very little air is actually making it through the center vents. I have the HVAC settings on max fan and full air vents (solid arrow up and down).
I suspect the baffels in the ducting are locked up.
Can I fix this my self? If so, How?
I have always heard bad stories about mercedes a/c, i am now wondering if they are really true.

RE: a/c problems (air is cold but not blowing freely)
Don't give up so fast...
This happened to me recently.
Same symptoms -- my car is a '92 400E.
The problem turned out to be a hairline crack in the 30A fuse that is situated under a small cover next to the main fuse box. The fuse looked visually sound, and would work enough so that the blower appeared to be working, but would never work when A/C was required.
Have a look. Here's hoping your repair is as inexpensive...

correct if your strip fuse is blown then this will happen. also it sounds like you may have also a bad blower speed regulator. check the fuse then test the blower speen regulator
