what are the benefits of using those plugs?

 

What model car and engine?platinum plugs oem on most 98 up mb engines.Longer life,less wear,gap stays constant over the change life of 100k miles.ngk7090 are $2.79 each and you can diy your own plugs on the 320,430,55,230,280,300,350 etc.
just check application on ngk or autohausaz.com and stay away from the multi tip plugs,they are not needed.

i guess i am speaking towards older bmws and mercedes then. 1990 and older, sorry i reckon. i don't know about newer engines, perhaps platinums are fine for those

 

I take back everything,you have an open mind,and are correct about the older engines

 

My local mech pulled my plugs last month as a courtesy to see if they were looking good. He asked if I had replaced them recently. I replaced them 60K miles ago!!! Bosch Platinum plugs work just fine for me. Nothing fancy, just the regular Bosch Platinum plugs. My mechanic said that I should be find for another 40-60K based on what he just saw. I hope to report my 100K mile findings in a year or so. Take care all! O Lord and Cliff... be nice!!!![]
