You are right. 240 kms/hr top speed ... and it goes there really fast. Weight over non-armored model is 340 kgs (748 pounds). Even when the cabin is like a sound free cocoon you can hear the fine noise of that V8. In the highway fuel compsuption was a frugal 24.8 miles per galon, average speed 62 mph. In the city I supposed that beast will guzzle gas like a viking sailor drinking vodka.

 

AH o well as long as you get enjoyment out of it thats the way I look at it. Ipay Premium for all three of my MB. I enjoy them even if their is a problem because its not like buying "another car" to me its like a form of entertainment.

 

Yes, these cars are like chicks, they cost you money but who can refuse to be with them. I would liketo put the five spoke rims I have in my Designo Avantgarde E320 on the armored E500, but I don´t know if it is OK because of the increased weight of this car. I really don´t like the rims that comes with the Elegance trim.

I don´t know how to upload my pics. I have plenty photos of my previous and current MBs. Elegance trim is in between the low equipped Classic and the full equipped Avantgarde. They are nice though. The armored 2004 E500 I just bought came in Elegance trim, but Itook some of the stuff of my Designo Avantgarde E320 has and instaled it on the E500, it looks great now!

 

Can I put and Avantgarde instrument panel, or whatever it´s called, in this Elegance trim car? The Avantgarde panel is the white light back ones, I like it much more than the black ones. How much do u thing it will cost?

The "elegance" trim level is the base for MB cars imported into the U.S. If you live in the states, you have seen plenty of them. The "classic" trim level is the "strippy" or base level... think European taxi cab.
