Default Advice for my 1992 300E

Well anyways its starting to fall apart. And I love the car but I play a ton of sports and don't have time for a job (i'm in high school), so i live off my parents money. It has 190,000 miles on it and if the engine dies my parents want to get me a boring a car like a Honda Civic that will be in the shop less. But I love Mercedes and would never drive a Honda. So the questions I'm coming down to are...

1. How much mileage would you say is left on it?

2. Would a brand new engine be a good substitute for getting a new car?

3. Are the engines a reasonable price?

Also, I really want to get these realy thin scratches buffed out of the doors on my car from my dogs. How much do you think a body shop would charge for it?

My '92 300e has 261000 on the original engine, still running like a top. Yes, there are some things falling apart, mainly electrical problems.
