E320 2002

On the highway, I placed the car into passing gear.

Then ABS/BAS/ESP warning lights went on, and the car stayed in a lower gear.

And the headlights dont work

Now the alternator/battery and overvoltage warning came on. (Also comes on when I disconnect the battery)

Any suggestions? Change brake light switch? Change OVP relay? (where is that bytheway)

For those of you who may someday have this problem -- the alternator went bad, spun 18volts, and burned the battery as well.
