95' Mercedes E320
Hi everyone, new to the thread and new to the love for these E320s - So my concern is more bang for your buck than anything
I am currently looking at a 95' E320 with 165k, owner does not know much about prior history, am waiting for VIN to run a carfax - Asking price is $7,000
From face value this is everything I'm looking for aside from price, but you never know what lies behind the closed doors of a vehicle with 165k
From what I can tell the biggest issues could be failed engine mounts, wire harness, tranny rebuild - I would imagine at this mileage I would want to make sure the timing and water pump was done as well
I'm torn, the reliability seems incredible especially if these things have all been taken care of, its also hard to imagine that at least some of these common issues weren't taken care unless this has been an absolute unicorn considering how the vehicle runs and there seemingly being no issues
My question is, is this worth the price if these (or most of these) issues have been taken care of, or if not? The used car market is insane right now, but this just seems so extended to me especially without more information
My eyes are saying buy, but my gut tells me to tread carefully
Any more experienced opinion would be awesome
