'90 300TE won't start
Hi,
Further to an earlier posting, I have checked the fuel pump and it only runs for a half second or so when the key is first turned on to start then it stops. This is with the fuel line loosened off so it isn't over-pressuring. It does not run at all when cranking. I changed the fuel filter because it seemed plugged to the point that I could not blow through it.
I have tried finding the fuel pump relay but it isn't where my manuals say it should be, at least not that I can see. I took the cover off the relay box but it doesn't seem to one of them. Could it be inside the passenger compartment?
I have also tried to find the coolant temp sensor but the only one I can find (2 pin) starts the aux cooling fans when I jump it. I have one that was ordered over the net but it is a 3 pin connector. This I can't find on my engine.
My level of frustration keeps going up...
Thanks for any assistance.

And even further, I found reference (after re-reading one of my manuals) that the fuel pump relay is in the MAS relay box so I pulled it and gave it a couple of sharp raps but that didn't change the situation. There must be a sensor that is not allowing the fuel pump to continue running or the MAS relay box is bad. This condition didn't occur after any other symptoms, it just came on all at once...
