MAYBE A DUMB QUESTION I HAVE A 1988 260E 4 SPEED AUTO,IS IT CONSIDERED A 4-MATIC WHEN BUYING FRONT STRUTS?

 

No, 4-matic refers to the all wheel drive system that was never available on a 260E and I believe at least in the States, that it was not an option until 1991 (might be off by a year) also go to a website that is for Mercedes that is able elliminate parts that would not fit your model.
