Thinking of buying a 300E,need to know some information. What are the MPGs, do you have to put premium gas in it? What are the best years? I would like a 1985 - 1993, somewhere in that year range. Thank you for your help. How many miles are to many?

I have a 1991 300e 3.0.
It's a sweet looking car. And i get about 20-25 mpg. My benz has 170k miles on it and had 150k when i got it.
I use premium gas, but from what i've heard you can use regular gas. I am just going with what is recommended for the car.
Currently I am having issues with it, the igntion is locked up. But tomorrow i will be fixing it. A few things i ran into on mine is the ignition, the ovp, amongother usual late 80's to early 90's car problems. I guess i would recommend getting this kind of car, if you like fixing minor things with the car, because if you take it to a shop or dealer every time you need something done, it can get pricy real quick.
Just do some research, the oneI haveis pretty fast, and i bought it for 2000, so i guess i got a pretty good deal.
