Default 2005 E320 Steering Wheel Wiring

Hi all, I'm new here. Hope someone can help. I have a '05 E320 and periodically I lose all electronic functions from the steering wheel (like horn, volume control for radio, etc). My dealer says if it isn't acting up when we bring it in, tough luck. Any ideas?

you probably need a new clock spring or a new steering column module. there is also a steering angle sensor in there too. but when you purchase one of the items i think they come as a pair together.
