My 2004 e55 amg has just over 150,000 miles. There is an intermittent dry squeak in the front suspension and I would like to replace all my ball joints. I have the tools and ability to do the job. What I would really appreciate is some advice on acceptable brands or sources for aftermarket parts. Thanks in advance.

 

Those cheap kits on eBay are tempting but not the way to go. At 150k miles, do the entire front suspension. Here is who I would recommend.

Are you recommending the full $800 dollar kit, or the kit with all 6 ball joints for $150 ?

Yes, the full kit. I assure you that your bushings are all shot at that mileage, as well as your ball joints.
