2004 E320. How to remove door sun shade?
Hey guys.
Recently somebody broke into my car by breaking my window and stole my girlfriend's purse from inside. So when they broke the window my rear door sun shade was on, so they messed it up as well... now it won't go down into the door. it's kind of loose when it's on too. Mercedes dealership told me $830 to fix that. it's a little over priced, wouldn't you think so?
When I was putting a new window I asked shop while they have door panel open to check if there is any pieces of glasses stuck in there, that's why sunshade wouldn't go down but I was told that door panel is saparate from sunshade.
Now I tried to find in google or in youtube how to open that part on the door panel and change sun shade or at least clean it or just to take it out - Nothing.
Who had that problem or knows how to fix that?

As I remember it the sun shade is riveted into the inner door skin. You will need the entire door panel off. Its easy to do, you can probably find instructions on some website. If not, let me know and I'll do my best to type them for you from memory...
