Default 2002 E3 20 four-door sedan transmission no forward or reverse

I have no forward or reverse gears on this car that I just purchased. I knew it had a transmission problem. Control module is not wet, bushing is seeping a little. However I am attaching a picture of the black speed sensor and it looks very cracked. Would this cost no forward or reverse movement? Thank you

Default Conductor plate

I realize it can't be repaired( speed sensor) but am looking for definitive confirmation that conductor plate will give me forward and reverse.

This trans came out of another E320 . Easy to repair and replace now. Just don't want to swap out and find out conductor plate is not the problem. I.e. Front pump ??? Which is what is wrong with the current trans in E320 sport. Thanks for your help
