The backlighting on the climate control system has recently gone out. Looking for details on how to remove the unit from the dash and replace the bulb or bulbs

Radio key and climate control removal set along with dash cluster hooks for when those bulbs go out plus the climate control bulb
$32 delivered stateside.Easy diy pm me if you need the kit,you may be able to find it for less if you shop around,I think I am still below the dealer and I include the instructions and the teeny tiny bulb

 

thanks - my concern was that this was going to be another $1500 dealer fix to replace the entire unit - i'll look around a bit in the area and come back if i need to

 

When I purchased my C280 I had the same thing with a buld going out. I had my local shop do it because it was under my free 30day warrenty when I bought the car from them. Dont go to the dealer. Either look for a DIY or use a independant shop.

 

I just bought a sylvania 2721 pair of bulbs at autozone today for 3.00 us,,and i bought the keys at a highend audio shop,,for 7.oo dollars changed the bulb in the parking lot in about 2 minutes,,for real its so easy,,,,

 

Hey guys i promise you no matter if your mechanical or not you can do this in five minutes with the keys which you can buy at some parts houses,,but for shure at a highend audio shop for automobiles..I promise you ,,i did it today in the mall parking lot by watching youtube,com and never have done it before,,,the bulb replacement without going to MB is a Sylvania 2721 which you can buy at any decent place like an autozone,,or such,,
