Default 2001 E320 Removal of std radio, replace w/ COMAND 2.0

Does anyone have the WIS (or concise directions) for retrofitting the 2001 E320 that currently does not have the Comand 2.0 system?

I recently purchased the Comand, harnesses, 2DIN bracket/support - which the Comand is currently mounted in, connectors and the burl wood faceplate with a 2DIN opening. I am also waiting for a switch to fill the opening that exists in the new faceplate which has (6) switch holes rather than (5) contained in the original plate.

I simply do not want to damage any of the dash while pulling things apart. Start with the vent removal? Are there tools to remove it?

So far I have not received as much guidance as I suspected the seller would have been able to provide (ie- illustrations, line-by-line instructions, etc.). Only has installed C Classes - no Es. Although they are helpful I would like to obtain more details as I am accustomed to working with schematics when I perform a new installation.

The attached pic shows what I expect the finished installation to look like, although it's a 2000, not a 2001 like I have, it pretty much looks the same.

Thanks for responding!

Default RE: 2001 E320 Removal of std radio, replace w/ COMAND 2.0

I recently bought a 2002 E320 Wagon 4Matic. I am thinking of buying Nav/Command unit for the car. Could you please let me know where you bought your Comand, harnesses and 2DIN bracket/support ?

Thanks
