Have you not heard how awful and unreliable the MB navi is?

I have, however, is there another option? There isn't really any goodplace to mount an aftermarket. Any imput would be great. I currently have a Garmin 176C that I had in my old vehicle.

You can also opt for those Alpineor PioneerDVD NAV, it can be fitted in the spot below the casseste player.

I wouldn't recommend the COMMAND also, as it usesa CD-ROM intead of DVD

I currently use a Mitac Mio 168 PDA (built-in GPS receiver)from Taiwan, its aPocket PCand the maps are provided by Destinator. I think PDA NAVs are great alternative for in-car NAV, saves a couple thousand dollars...

I saw the alpine unit on a speedvision program which looked stock and reportedly functioned well. For the life of me I can't figure out this great advanced "German engineering". Like the poorly named VW Toureg, the navi uses cd. Nine, count them NINE CDs for the Navi in the VW. Even Ford uses a single DVD system.
