1998 E320 - Please help!! Great car! it will idle but when you push the gas pedal it does NOTHING. It has the codes BAS ASR. What are the ideas. My first thought is change air filter, clean mass air flow sensor, throttle body sensor and check the throttle body wiring. What do you all know or think???? THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

 

It's been four days. Have you resolved the issue?
It sounds like a communication error with the accelerator pedal position sensor or failed accell. Pedal. A popped fuse can cause this issue, too.
Also possible is throttle position sensor at the throttle body. BAS and ASR are dependent upon that for proper function. Maybe start there first.
