The car sarts stalling while cruising, drops to 10mph but doesnt stop. Recovers in a minute and then all is smooth. Repeats regularly. The dealership has no clue. They replaced the crank sensor(?) and now wants to replace the wiring harness and engine mounts and they dont guarabtee the problem to go away.The car has 130k on it and has been regularly serviced since new. Advice from anyone with similar experience or has an idea what it could be, is highly appreciated. Thanks!

 

I own a 1989 300E w/ 139K miles and having the same exact problems. Thye have replaced the fuelfilter, cleaned the fuel pumps, and various other small items. </P>

thanks for the posting. the fuel sysytem shows full pressure and is not the cause. the culprit seems to be the wiring harness and i am trying to find out a reliable person to do it. the dealership wanted $900.00 plus labor, before tax, to do that!!</P>

 

I did find the problem with my car. There is an O2 sensor under the passanger side rug that we bad.
