My '93 300TE 4matic starts if the gas pedal is all the way down - BUT it dies when put in gear, when ac is on in a stop, ac fan comes on .... It is not compensating at idle when extra load(s) are added. AND goes directly to 700 rpm when starting, cold or hot. I have the following codes at socket #3:
Code 7; TNA- signal (rpm) at CFI control module illogical [Tried new crank sensor - no change]
Code 18- current idle control valve is illogical [switched idle control valve - no change]
Code 27 -"Data exchange between CFI control module and ignition control module" - [Changed both units. - no change}
Can anyone tell me what is going on, or where to look?
Very frustrating!
