Well it has been about 4 years since I sold my 1995 E320 SE for a 2002 LS430. I must say that the LS is fantastic but I WAY miss the Benz!!!! I have found a 1993 300E sportline with 78K miles. Appears to be in very good condition, everything works except recline on the driver side seat. I checked the vin in carfax, shows no accidents and many entries for service at MB shop. I also verified at an online site the build card for the car to ensure it was in fact a sportline. It is black/black, with 4 place seating sportline badging... They do not have any books/proof of service history. The sales guy is trying to get the Benz store to give him the service history since it appears via carfax it was in the local benz shop on a regular basis since sold new in 1993. This will NOT be my primary car, it will be a toy.

They want $10,500 US for it. My gutt tells me this is way to high and edmunds/KBB support it. I understand age/condition/miles account for something but wanted to get some other opinions... I must say it drove fantastic!!! What a difference the sportline option makes, not too firm, but great handeling!

So what do you all think is a fair price? it's located in the US midwest.

price seems kinda high (you can get a 92 500e for that price) but then again the sportline makes it unique.

 

I think 9 grand would be more accurate. Those cars are amazing and it's pretty rare to own one.
