I have a 1993 300e 2.8 with the original Becker 1432 Stereo, I do not have the 10-disk changer nor do I care to get it. I also own a 2004 VW Passat. Recently I bought an iPod interface for the VW from a company at www.usaspec.com and I love it, it allows me to play my ipod, which is in the trunk, through my radio controls. It hooks up to the CD changer in the trunk of the car.
I contacted the company and they only make this interface for MB of 1994 and up, darn it!

1) Does anyone know of another interface that will allow me to play my iPod and control it with the radio's CD changer controls (I have the RF receptor and while it works I want to use the radio controls)

2) I have a friend who is selling a newer MB OEM radio (1996), will that fit and work in my car and how difficult is installation?
