1989 190e 2.6 mystery
I recently bought a 1989 190e 2.6 that had sat in storage for 4 years in a police impound lot. It was serviced by a MB technician before I bought it from him. He had bought it from a charity organization to whom it was evidently given. The car has a new paint job (maroon) rose tinted windows, 16 inch Arelli Maniak wheels, Marshal Power Racer II tires.
The technician told me that the car was seized in a drug bust. The car seems almost new, but as I inspected it I noticed that it has battery connector cables in the trunk. The red power cable does not have a connector and it runs from the trunk to somewhere in the engine compartment. Why? Does anyone have an answer to this one?
The car has 60,000 miles on it. I ran a Car Check on it and the results were very strange. Bye and bye I will tell you about this, but I have a clean title to it.
I am 73 years old and everyone tells me it looks like a pimp or a gangster's car, but it sure is one heck of a good ride!
If you have an answer to the battery cables in the trunk let me know.
Don't confuse them with jump start cables.
