Exclamation 1988 M103 timing after headgasket

Hello enthusiasts i'm doing the headgasket on my 88' M103 and as I removed the head from block the crank went down from TDC so I did two rotations until TDC lined up with O T markings. Did I mess anything timing related? I left the chain tensioner in while rotating and am ready to remove the old one so I could install the new while maintaining the proper tension on chain. I really don't want to mess things up so I'm asking the experts (This is my first M103 headgasket job). I was told to NEVER rotate an engine the opposite way.
