Don't buy that gas cap! I just went and bought it and it does not fit. I think they make a "generic" gas cap and
hope it will fit most cars. Even if it fit, it is not that hard a lock to defeat since a soft rubber seal is the only
thing protecting the locking mechanism. I'm going to keep looking, I'll post if I find something that works.

I have a rod that doen't line up with the hole. I just looked it is functionable but it is about one ince or more from the hole to the rod I was wondering if there is the something missing that go on the rod ? thanks for the feed back

To my knowledge there is nothing on the end of the rod. It may be jammed inside and may not be sliding correctly through the hole (which often has a rubber washer so there is no metal to metal contact.
Try thisopen the gas filler door and lock the car. The rod should slide out of the hole around an inch+-. If the rod works then the hole in the gas filler cap may be bend or misaligned. Good luck.
