190E No Start Trouble Shooting Steps ?
My 1989 190E 2.6 decided to not start. I would like to know if there is a list of steps to trouble shoot somewhere....
Here's where I am.
1. I have spark - grounded the #1 Plug and watched during crank.
2. I jumped post 7 & 8 in Fuel Pump Relay and listened to buzzing of fuel pump.
3. I cranked the engine while post 7 & 8 jumped and fuel pump running, no start,
not even a pffffft of a noise ?
What would my next steps be please... I love my old gal :-)

Here we go again ! Ask a question,.. and come up with the answer one'self :-)
When I mentioned I had SPARK , I had just pulled the plug wire and tested a new Spark Plug !! Turns out, maybe common sense, that just maybe the plugs left in the engine were not producing enough spark ? I replace all 6 and that puppy fired up IMMEDIATELY :-) So,... step 3,.... try to produce spark with plug that is already in engine as a test !!!
