I recently backed 94 E320 into a ditch and when I did I hit the fuel line..? When I would accelerate hard from standstill she'd 'hiccup' and shake..soooo took her in to a shop and had them fix whatever I severed, put in new plugs and wires and clean fuel system. Now she is fine EXCEPT when you're on the interstate and you floor it around 65-70 mph she starts that shuddering again and won't gain speed..I took her back to shop and guy said it had something to do with the "Rev something somethin"??...that the rev meter or something is set at a certain timing?...What?? It never did this before so I'm wondering if anyone knows what this "Rev sensor or meter or whatever" situation is and if that could be my problem. She idles fine, runs fine, just at high rpm you can't stomp on her anymore..if you do she shudders and you have to let off and ease the accelerator down....Anyone?

 

you are aware of the speed limiter setting right? (LIM)

maybe you don't have that function, but in your model the speed limiter could not be set by diagnosis computer...only manually.

can you rev the engine past 4000rpm at standstill? does the fuel pressure drops (below 1.8bar) while doing it?

no kinked fuel line?

 

Hmmm..I'll try to rev at standstill today...where is the speed limiter setting and how is this changed? This also didn't happen before just suddenly..so can the LIM just go out of whack one day or worse..go bad? Thanks again

Sleepwalker...tried revving her past 4000rpm this morning in park..she WONT do it..she stops there and shudders...is it the LIM,, and is this a simple DIY or do I need to take her in? Thanks man,

that's informative thanks..alright..the cruise control doesn't work but I've never minded..and yeah the fuel filter was replaced when the new plugs/wires/ and cleaning of fuel system was done...could it be the fuel pump?
