Default Rear Brakes

Hello,

I need to replace the rear brakes. Can I just replace the brake pads or do I need to replace the rotors as well.

Thanks!

Doesn't look like this forum gets much love. Maybe the CLS isn't as popular as it ought to be? Dunno. Anyway, as with any car the answer is "that depends." Rotors should be good for longer than pads. That said, you should always check how much meat is left on them and test the runout to see if they're warped at all. I am not a M-B person, I'm just considering the purchase of an 06 CLS500 right now and was hoping to find an enthusiast site. I don't know if M-B requires additional work for brakes, but it would be odd if you had to replace the rotors every time you put new pads on. JMO and all that, you might be better off calling a stealership.
