Default Airmatic malfunction warning light on

My 2008 CLS550 has the Airmatic warning light showing malfunction. It just started after I had left the car sitting unused for 3 months. I have searched the previous threads, but cannot find a detailed explanation.
Is it likely one of the air struts is leaking and needs to be replaced?
Could it just need to replace the strut tower cap?
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

I would first run the codes and see what turns up, it'll give you a great place to start troubleshooting. Best of luck!

Good idea. I am taking the car to the shop on Monday for an oil change, so I will get them to check it. Thanks.

Well the mechanic says the code is 5508 Pressure Line Leak. He didn't have time that day to look for it, but I have booked it back in for next week. Hopefully it won't take too long to find the leak!

Default CLS550 Airmatic line leak

I also have a 2008 CLS550 and I had to replace the front left airmatic shock.
I appreciate you reporting back exactly where the leak is located once you know. It may be good reference info for other CLS owners, thanks!
