I just got a black 2002 CLK 430. I want to get the windows tinted, but I'm not sure which brand to get. I want it to look jet black all around. It's gonna be difficult since the interior is charcoal. Any suggestions?

 

Ive always used formula one tint . believe mfg out of Ca. had dozen or so cars done w/ it and it's superb! The darker you go, the darker that interior will seem to appear. I personally appreciate a lighter tint...50% sides w/ 38% back glass. you can see out of this and it really exploits the color of the factory tinted bluish hue glass. The black clk's ive seen extremely dark in my opinion make the car look even smaller than it already is in and out. interior feels more confining. cops HATE ultra dark tint too and impairs vision substansially at night. think subtle,subtle,subtle. Im sure it will look great no matter how you go about it! good luck and welcome to forum.......</P>

thanks for the input......my interior is ash (my mistake). i like it dark. the darker the better. if i wanted a bigger car, i would have gotten a CL. </P>


i got the tint done where the dealer gets all of their cars done. you would like it...i don't. it's way too light. so now i have to find someone who manufactures a truely dark appearing tint. I'm still open to suggestions fellas.</P>

I actually went to Altamere here in Dallas. It's the place that the local Mercedes dealer sends all of their cars. It is not as dark as I would like it. Everyone says that is because the interior is so light. I guess they are right. I'm keeping a look out for tints with light interior to see if I can start to see what they are saying. I don't have any pictures yet. sorry.
