Default Voice Command/Navigation

Just purchased a 2001 CLK 430, the car will be here in a week. I have a ton of pics that I have been looking at for the past day and-and-half. Two questions: How can I tell (from the pics) if the car has voice command?

The car doesn't have navigation, I want to purchase an oem unit, (don't want after market). I have found two different oem units they say will fit. The first one is http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...EWA%3APIC&rd=1,

of the two units which will fit my 2001 clk 430 (208)?. Which is the better of the two and why?

if you got the microphone icon in your multifunction steering wheel or an extra lever on the right side to activate/deactivate it.

the first one is intended for your car and the second one is for later different model.

if you for some more details, include your VIN.

i can see the sttering wheel but ain't got voice command button on it nor VIN.

my answer is no.

you can but you have to replace so many components that it will put a black hole in your pocket.

even installing the command, you need to do additional wirings since it is not pre-wired.

your car is only pre-wired for:

(too much to write and i got to get some breakfast now)

If you want something that merely looks good, buy the OEM unit. M-B uses a weak and poorly implemented navigation system. If you want a truly functional GPS unit and navigation, go to the aftermarket.
