Since there are so many different models of the CLK, which one is top of the line and on down.
Been looking at them and the prices really don't tell you when your looking at preowned.
I really like the CLK 500 but have found a CLK 320 that is really nice to.
Little help on this would be appreciated.

 

yeah.. there is a lot more cost in having the v8 but if you are worried about cost this car is not right for you.. the AMG model is the top of the line because of the huge performance increase over the v8.. but if you are like me and live in a city you won't be able to use that added power anyhow.. I would stick with the v6 or go with a lexus..

The 320s and 350s are V-6 engines, not 4 cylinders.

W209 Chassis models:

CLK63 (6.2L V-8) 2007 and up
CLK55 (5.4L V-8) 2003-2006
CLK550 (5.5L V-8) 2007 and up
CLK500 (5.9L V-8) 2003-2006
CLK350 (3.5L V-6) 2006 and up
CLK320 (3.2L V-6) 2003-2005
CLK230 (2.3L I-4 Supercharged) as far as i know not a W209 model in the US

 

I thought the 6.3 was the v-12?

 

What are you willing to spend and what are you looking for. the clk 209/208 we
clk320 - v-6 engine m112 or m272 for 209
clk500,550 - v-8 m113,m273
they donot make a 4 cyl in the clk for the u.s
the clk 6.3 is a 6.3 liter naturally aspirated engine which means NO TURBO/SUPERCHARGER just a big bad engine.
now the price will go 20k- 300k new/used if your looking for nice dependable car for great price get a clk320 with a sport package with amg rims this looks nice the v-6 has plenty power yet looks sporty. if your a baller and $ no object buy the clk black series or anything amg 55 or 6.3
