. I have a 2002 430CLK Cabriolet that I am happy with. The other night I went to put the map light on which is located on the overhead console. whether I select the driver side or passenger side, the map light goes on the passenger side but not on the drivers side. When opening the doors, both map lights go on and then fade once the doors are closed the way they are designed to do. Both map light also go on if the top switch is activated.(again as it is designed to do) I just recently noticed this problem because I never needed to put the drivers side map light on. If any one has a clue as to what is causing this, please advise.
