Default Lowering my Cabrio...

Aloha folks - does anyone have experience in lowering a '00 clk320 cabrio? I understand there are special springs made for the cabrio vs. the coupe, but I also had heard talk about the difference in the"ride" based on the pad # used ~ not sure what that means. I love my car as it is right now - its very simple and super clean, butdropping it about 1" forimprove the"look" as well as the handling would be awesome! But I don't want to sacrifice the "ride" if at all possible. Mahalo for you help!

Default RE: Lowering my Cabrio...

Hi folks - just wanted to update you with an answer to my own question ~ a tech from H&R springs just called and said that herecommended I stay with the springs designed specifically for a cabrio vs. coupe ~ the cars are close in weight, the springs themselves are high quality, but since they haven't done any testingto see if the CLK55 springs would be OK on my cabrio. better to be safe than sorry. He suggestedtryingtirerack.com if I want to buy a new set...said their prices are good andthey seem to know what they're talking about.

Let me know if you have conflicting info or have experiencewith using springs from a different model car ~ I'd appreciate it! Mahalo!
