Default Garage Door Opener

Hi, has anyone successfully trained their garage door opener with the in car (rear view mirror) function button? I have a door opener that is a rolling code version and notwithstanding the instructions, can't get the %$#@&^ thing to work.

Default signal mode

there should be a mode on your garage door opener itself that send out a signal and then you press the button on the bottom left of the rear view mirror. it will catch the signal and lock it it and should work from there.

Default Solved!!

I had to go to the main unit in the garage , hit the TRAIN button, then jump in the car and hold down the button on the rear view, then continue to press and release that button on the rear view until the main garage door opener recognized the signal.

works like a charm now.
