Default Engine kicks

Hi everyone. I just bought a new CLK 350 and I have noticed that at times the engine kicks or jumps especially when the car is at a low speed such as when pulling into a parking space where the engine is at rest and the foot is off the gas. Does anyone know why the car jumps or kicks? Thank you.

Default RE: Engine kicks

Hi...
I have a new CLK 280, and have the same problem.
The dealer said it was because of the very low gears in the 7G, so suggested using "C"omfort rather than "S"ports mode. Apparently, "C" would start at 2nd gear rather than 1st gear.... I think it helps but doesn't eliminate it completely.
Otherwise, have been pretty happy with the car. Great drive...

Let me know if you find out...

I bought my 2006 CLK 36 days ago. I experienced the same problem at about 15 mile/hr. Took it to the dealer - long story short: They have to remove the transmission and replace a "disc" in it. (I am not to sure they are telling me the whole story) - either way, a mechanical problem with the transmission (which they said is .01% chance of happening) is not good news. Needless to say, I am not very happy. [:-] I would get your car to the dealer ASAP.

gee sorry to hear about the repairs...

don't think mine was that bad, and certainly wasn't at 15mph... was when almost at rest... but seems to have gone away, for the moment at least, but am a bit worried.
how bad was the kicking? has there been any improvement since the repair?
