Default Computer Language

Hi I have a 1999 CLK 320 which was manufactured and registered in Germany.
I bought the car after it had been shipped to the UK and was wondering if there is a way to change the language of the onboard computer from German to English?

Also as I am still waiting for my English owners manual to be delivered can anyone tell me if the computer tells you how much fuel you are using per mile and any other info as all I can see is how long till the next service.

Ty in advance for any help

On a 2001 CLK430 the info you seek is in the onboard computer- i can use the buttons on the steering wheel to scroll to the proper page and change language- also a screen will show miles per gallon (or Km/liter) for current trip or for the amt of time since its been reset. Not sure about the 'time until service' option...mine reminds me occasionally on the screen, but i've never searched for it.
Cheers

Ty for the reply however the 1999 320 does not have buttons on the steering wheel. Was wondering if anyone out there with the same model can offer any advice?

I found the answer to this and that is to turn the key to position 2 and then hold down the 0 and R button on the Dash. This will then give you all the languages to scroll through.
