CLK (W209) Hood mechanism trouble...
Hello.
I am looking to find a part no. for my CLK but I seem to have a very hard time in doing so.
On my CLK Cabrio, the hood mechanism that opens the top of the car is supported and operated through 2 hinge mechanisms (as you already know).
Well on those hinges there a little plastic thing(!! like a bar) that folds down when the hood is opened/closed.
Each of the hinges has one of these plastic bars.
Well one of them is broken (two times so far) and the MB garage over here in Cyprus states that I have to purchase the WHOLE !!! hinged mechanism in order to replace it, and also that they do not currently have it in stock and it will be ordered from Germany with an ETA of 4 months!!! Crazy!!
Anyhow. Can you provide me with the MB part number for the part I am interested in and also give me a pricing of it (approximately)?
If you want some pictures of the hinged mechanism just email me and I will send them as fast as possible.
Thank you very much for you time and assistance,
I will be awaiting your reply.
