clk 320 running rough
Hi all,
Have just bought myself a 1999 CLK 320 as a replacement for my 1995 C250 but every now and then it seems to lose power.
If i stop the car, the engine is idling roughly. As soon as i switch the engine off and then back to on it clears. She hasn't been run much in the last year, only thing I can think of is a plug breaking down, fuel filter blocked or even a plug pack breaking down. The baffling thing is why does it clear if the engine is turned off then back on ?
Has anyone out there seen or heard of this before?
Any advice or tips would be gratefully recieved
Many thanks

If it resets itself after a key start its not the mounts.
My money is on the MAF sensor, they go down for fun....its a five min job to put it on the STAR machine at a dealers or indi (i pay £55 for the indi to read and clear any fault codes that are giving me a problem...thats if they will clear due to being a glitch rather than a problem)
Dont get a cheap MAF from ebay, there crap, get a propper bosch unit, you can fit it your self in five mins, under the bonnet on the left theres a black pipe running from front to back about 3" diameter, you will see a black......erm...thing about 4" long with a milti plug in it, unplug it and go for a quick spin, if things are back to normal its the MAF, you will see how easy it is to change. do a google & ebay search to figure out which part it is.
