2000 CLK430 Radio
I recently purchased a 2000 CLK430. This car came with the standard radio with the Bose Sound System.
I'm trying to install the Kenwood P-NAV7015. I went down to the local Al & Ed's Auto sound, and they priced out installation at over $2000. They claim that the MB sound system has a separate amplifier, and to install the Kenwood unit, the amplifier would have to be bypassed, and new amplifiers would have to be installed to be able to take advantage of the Bose Sound System. They also mentioned something about this car might have fiber-optic connections.
Can anyone please help, or maybe direct me towards a location than can verify this installation?
Feel free to contact me directly at smagallanez@netzero.net

RE: 2000 CLK430 Radio
Does the partnumber, Kenwood P-NAV7015, refer to a navigation unit? If so, why not choose for an original MB comand unit? This will give you the OE MB factory look, will work with your steering wheel controls and won't cost you USD 2000 or more - when looking at the right place, that is...
