Can somebody help. My Father in Law's A-Class had he A/C stop working. It would either refuse to switch off when you turned off the engine or, refuse to switch on. So I pulled the control unit out from the dash (three round dials/ I now find that the "blue" connector is melted and that the wiring has been able to short out.

1) Can I get hold of just that blue connector?
2) Is this a known issue on these cars?
