Windshield Wiper Issue

Windshield Wiper Issue
Hi all,
My wife's windshield wipers have stopped. I can hear the motor running. She indicated that before it died, it would pause in the down position. I have moved the blade through the motion with the windshield motor running but there is no tendency to grab or move at all. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Sam

RE: Windshield Wiper Issue
sounds like the nut came off the motor/linkage. Be very carefull pulling the cowling away from the windshield. It's hard to get off and I cracked a window taking one off. I've pulled many off and havent broken them but when that one happens you tend to be a little cautious. I can't picture that setup in my head but once your in there it's easy to figure out. If your doing it yourself. Other option is that the linkage broke or a joint came apart.

Thanks....
As it turned out it was a nut on the bottom of the assembly. I took photos coming out and will post a guide for those who might follow. Will definitely lube this thing on a regular basis. I'm sure the vibration is what caused the nut to spin off. A little grease and a generous portion of lock tight for the nut and the wife is back in business!
Thanks for the help...
