Thought you folks might like to see what your transmission fluid looks like at 100K miles.
That's the filter next to it. Tranny was fine, but changed it anyway. Trying to make the car last.
115K and still going strong.

Changed my filter and Fluid today... just a pan drop, not draining the torque converter. My fuild was the same color and the mechanic @ the shop said its pretty standard for the milage. My unfortunate predicament was 2 things.

1. I followed the instructions and when you reattach the pan it says torque to 12 ft lbs. I used the ***** torque wrench and stripped the threads on one bolt. Fortunatly for me I did get it tight and checked it for leaks... seems to not have any issues. However Im gonna check every couple hundred miles for leaks. Is there a Tranny fluid level monitor in the c240?

2. My car doesnt have a dipstick. So I had to trace the dipstick line to the engine bay to fill. The mechanic said use 4 qts since I didnt drain the toque converter, but since I dont have a dip stick I used a wire... Not exact science, but "Adapt and Overcome"

On the up side. I now know which dip stick tube is which!

the rubber gasket seal can easily get broken on overtightening. much more if it is hard and brittle.

hope it won't leak.
