W202 38pin Diagnostic Connector blowing fuse
Hello guys ,
I have a Mercedes W202 C180 from 1997 and i have the old style 38 pin diagnostic connector to plug a scanner to read codes .
Yesterday i bought an iCarsoft MB version 1 scanner with the obd 2 ( 16 pin ) to MB old style ( 38 pin connector ) , the problem is ,
When i'm plugging the scanner to the car to read the codes , it blows instantly the diagnostic connector's fuse which is a 7,5 Amps fuse .
It's blowing the fuse instantly when i'm plugging the scanner , i really find it very strange and have no clue what could be causing it .
The scanner is working , at least when i plug it in on my computer , it turns on and seems to function properly , it is updated to the latest firmware and compatible with the w202 for sure .
I would like to know if something on my car is causing it or it's a scanners problem , have no idea .
Your help will be much appreciated , thank you all !!
