Default Is there excessive wear and tear allowance for lease?

I want to lease C230 and I received conflicting info regarding excessive wear and tear. One dealer told me that I can return a car with damages upto $3,000 without penalty. Other one told me that there is no such thing. I also read posts which indicated that people are charged for all damages. Could someone who has the lease verify if there is such allowance in the terms of the lease.

Depends on the leasing company. Read the fine print on each contract before signing.

Default RE: Is there excessive wear and tear allowance for lease?

I leased my 2003 C230 sport coupe from MB Finance Canada. Two months before the lease was up they sent me a notice and round cardboard ring about two inches in diameter. Any blemishes that the ring covered was okay, anything larger would have to be repaired at my cost.

Mine had no blemishes that wererepairable but I was 20,000 KM over the mileage limit, so I ended up buying it out, still driving it and really like the car. But the 2008's have caught my eye. Who knows what I will do.

Read the lease document, it tells what you need to know.
