Default Squeaky Breaks

My 2000 C280 breaks squeak when I brake from about 20mph and down. Is it the brake pads? or even the roters? anyone else have this anoying problem. They dont sqeak when I am going faster and I hit them hard like 45mph and drill them at the stop sign but if I am driving normal they squeak.

Default RE: Squeaky Breaks

Very common problem with a lot of different types of vehicles. Some do it, some don't. Some would blame the pads and what they are made out of, some would blame "dust", some would blame the alignment of the planets when the pads were manufactured. The list goes on and on.
How far are you from a brake job? I would consider changing the type of pad at that time, unless it's driving you nuts listening to it and having everybody at the stop light look over to see who it is with the "squealing car". My BMW did it. My Viper did it. I had to change to something different to eliminate it altogether. Also, if you replace the pads, be sure the rotors are in good shape. The choices for pads are limitless. You may or may not believe some of the claims about "dust-free", etc. I don't even want to go there. Hope this helps.
