hello Pals,
I just bought a 98 C280 with 165,000km last month, the condition was good until after oil exchanged last week that garage cleaned my airfilter (high-flow), I browsed the internet says that the MAF is easy to get dead if you are using a high-flow filter, I admit to it, but I doubt the meter was dead because the idle speed was in normal condition (+/-600 rpm), and the engine is easy to strat up, the only problem I met 3 days ago was on the high way, at the first everything was ok, kick-down was fine, but after I down the exit for 10-20 min on the crowed road, my car didn't feel like to move even I heavy stepped on the padal, it just didn't move a lot! seemed like I can only drive with gear 3rd, the car moved slowly! then I stoped the car, turned off the key, then started again, then the car was back! what happened?? the garage people told me that MAF was 100% dead, then they diaged my car with computer, everything was fine, all passed! I am wondering the MAF is dead, could it be the fuel pump problem?? it would be apprecite to get helped here.
