GOT MYSELF A BEAUTIFUL OLD C200. 1998 70.000k. MINT AND ELEGANT. ITS A GREAT SECOND CAR DRIVES BETTER THAN MY OTHER YOUNGER C200. BUT THE KEY IS LOOKING LIKE ITS READY TO DROP TO BITS. TODAY IS 13/10/2011 SO I WENT FOR A NEW REPLACEMENT AT THE LOCAL MB DEALERS." OH ! THEY HAVE JUST GONE UP" HE SHOUTS DOWN THE SPARES SHOP. DEEP JOY I THOUGHT.£195. WHEN I PICKED MYSELF UP OF THE GROUND HE HONKS WITH A GRIN. AT LEAST ITS WITH THE VAT!. YEA AND AT LEAST IM THE ONE PAYING IT.. NO KEY NO CAR ITS JUST SCRAP ON WHEELS. WERE OH WERE DO THEY GET THE PRICE FROM...... ILL PAY AND ENJOY MY LOVELY RETRO CLASSIC. SORRY I JUST NEEDED TO VENT MY SPLEEN. but if i ever see the kid from the parts department walking his dog, well i could be tempted to mount a curb but don't tell anyone i told you.

I had to buy a new key in March when I had my jacket stolen at the airport (with wallet and keys and everything). THe dealer was charging me over £300 so I've contacted one of those local car key specialists. Lost Car Keys did a great job for me, got me back on the road at 6 in the morning for £199. I thought it was pretty good.
however, this company seems to only serve London within the M25- my brother tried to book an appointment in oxfordshire and they refused
